Just as the sapphire is among the world’s toughest and most versatile materials (it’s used for jewellery, lasers, spectroscopes, watch glasses), this Safir Nordic tipi is surely the most versatile of high performance tents.
It truly is the tent that can go from your garden to Siberia.
Safir is used by professionals in the most extreme conditions. It’s a tent you can rely on totally in ice-fields, in storm-force gales, on top of glaciers, in blazing heat or on “the coldest journey in the world” — a 3,500 km, ten-month trek across Siberia made by a Swedish expedition.
This makes Safir the ultimate expedition tent.
But, equally, many people appreciate it simply for the outstanding comfort and manageability that makes it perfect for families, too. It’s an excellent birthday party tent. You can take it trekking. It’s a spacious camping tent for holidays with the car. It’s everything all in one!
And you can always find a size that suits your personal needs.
Safir is available for 4–10 people sleeping and up to 20 people seated.
Safir — redefines the meaning of ‘tent living’. Safir is more than a tent; it’s a home in your rucksack.

We research continuously throughout the world for advanced materials and manufacturing techniques. And we are motivated always by quality, not price. We do not choose materials according to what they will cost us; we choose materials according to the performance that they will give to our customers.
This is why we are so confident that the Safir is the most outstanding of all Nordic tipis.
It is available with either:
– a world-class, strong and durable cotton/polyester fabric that has exceptional breathing characteristics, or:
– the exclusive HT-62 extreme fabric. This is a lightweight, high-tenacity polyamide that is silicone-coated on both sides.
HT-62 is 4–5 times stronger than fabrics often used by other tent makers.
The Safir top-scores for materials, safety, manageability, cold protection, ventilation and comfort. Three large, net-fitted air intakes are standard. The door is mosquito-protected and it is fitted with extra buttons, in case of emergency.
And it is so convenient. For example, our patented In-Tent Vent™ system lets you adjust the ventilator cap to regulate the temperature without even leaving your sleeping bag. So, you can stay in bed even when the sun comes up and starts to warm the tent.
You’ll have loads of space and full standing room in the Safir, plus the snug togetherness of that open fire if you want it.
The reinforced edging and other details are there to give you the best possible resistance to the kind of events that often break a tent. They give you peace of mind and extend the life span of your investment.
